The America's Cup is only held since 2002 and is the American equivalent of the Europe Cup and/or the Pacific Cup. The two major countries that compete in this event are the USA and Canada. These teams are joint by exotic countries like Barbados, Bermuda, St. Lucia and Belize. As a team the USA has won each of the first 4 titles. Canada took the honours in 2010. In the singles event Canadian John Part took the title in 2002. In the ladies event there where two non USA champion; in 2004, Nanette Brooks from Trinidad en Tobago took the crown and in 2008 is was Canadian Kim Whaley Hilts. On behalf of the US team Stacey Bromberg took the ladies title in 2002 en 2006. The mens trophy among others went to John Kuczynski and Gary Mawson.
