The ladies are welcomed to play from first edition of the World Darts Trophy. For the ladies the tournament has got a large prize fund, even more than Lakeside. The stage in Utrecht has always been good for the Dutch ladies. In each final there has been a Dutch lady present and from the 4 times the tournament has been run, three times a Dutch name was put on the trophy. The first winner Mieke de Boer, put herself on the intentional darts map, but also has to carry the heavy burden. In Utrecht she never played to that standard again. Francis Hoenselaar reaches three consecutive finals (03-05) winning it in 04 beating that year‘s Russian sensation Anastasia Dobromyslova. In 2005 the last Dutch lady lifts the trophy. Karin Krappen is the last champion until now as in 06 the ladies tournament was replaced with a youth event.
